Dragonlance was one of the very first fantasy series I've read a long time ago. I remembered that I loved it then. And yep, I was one of those fangirls who liked Raistlin over Caramon.

The first time I read this book I was horrified by the ending.Now I know it's really just the beginning. 😉Looking forward to starting book 2 tonight!

Dragons of Autumn Twilight was amazing, and somehow this book managed to be even better!I loved the dialogues and the refined, archaic-ish writing style, I find it perfect for the epic fantasy genre. The little cameos and the humorous parts were also really enjoyable. The plot was even more interesting than that of Dragons of Autumn Twilight, I guess mostly because it involved less main characters rather than a whole bunch of them, including some I personally never grew to care about. I feel kinda bad that it has taken me thirty years to finally get around to reading this second main Dragonlance trilogy. I mean, sure, it took me fifteen years to read the first Dragonlance trilogy and that was AFTER I had been playing D&D for years. Oops? Ah, but never mind that.I discovered something awesome. This reads BETTER than the first trilogy. A lot more fun, more interesting, better characters (and not just Tolkien ripoffs), and a much more twisted story.No, this isn't a classic

I love this book despite the fact that about half of it is steeped in serious suckiness. Its not really a 4 Star book. However, Ive probably read it at least 10 times since I was a teenager, so that makes it 4 stars.

Small Review: My two favourite characters are on this book. Raistlin and Tassheloff. Caramon and Crysania are in it too. Interesting tale about the mind of Raistlin and the quest to rule the Abyss overthrowing Takhisis. This was the tale of Finstandituls and Raistlin travelled back in time to fulfilled it. Interesting tale.
