Narration Toward Books Pegasus and the Fight for Olympus (Pegasus #2)

I am thrilled with the conclusion of Kate O’hearn’s second book to her Olympian World. Pegasus: Olympus at War. The second book grew much darker, and the sense of heroism grew bigger. The ending left me with chills without giving any spoilers in this review. I feel this book must be enjoyed without knowing fully the contents within the magical writing and world building. Kate’s world building is becoming stronger and more intense.

There were some scenes in the beginning that were lagging with ideas and seemed to drag on. I personally think Kate could have done without the CIA being the cold blooded enemies of Emily, Paelen, Pegasus and Cupid. I’m curious to know if Earl fully recovered. The author never stated how he fully recovered. Earl would have been a wonderful ally for the group.

A lot of reviews on here have said the author gives half assed explanations. I thought the author did wonderful keeping the suspense to make you wonder what is going to happen and to get the reader to use their own imaginations. While it is a children’s book, children like action and imagery. Not full length descriptions and wordy paragraphs. Where’s the chance to let the mind of the child wander free?

I am learning that with a lot of books writing is never perfect and you can’t really judge a book based on the grammar and the writing. I am basing a lot of my reviews now on the heart and soul and if the book spoke to my emotions. However, there is absolutely no criticism with Kate’s writing at all. It is smooth for the eyes, and the sentences glide off the tongue and portray the images to their meaning. Let me just say I became hugely fond of Joel in this second book and just like Paelen, I had way more respect for Cupid. Cupid is not a coward, and his respect for the Flame became way more heroic.

Let’s talk about the Gorgons. Oh man. If there is another character that reminded me of the Gorgons, it would be from an entirely different world. Anyone remember Dolores Umbridge the vile woman in harry potter? Ya, when the Gorgons appeared, they made my skin crawl just like Umbridge did. I am glad the Gorgons’ received what came to them.

---SPOILER--
I have a new found respect for the world of the Nirads. The way the author described this sad world made me curious. When my Joel went missing, I hated these Beasts. I thought the creatures destroyed my love. Upon learning that the Nirads were actually in control by the Gorgons and not harmless, blood lust monsters, my heart broke for this race. I felt for Emily and how her heart went out to them. I felt for Tange and cried with Emily towards the end. Jupiter is a true leader, shielding the Nirad queen from harm and she has become another favorite character of mine. The pink Nirad is full of grace and humility and love for her people and others.

With the joining of the Olympian World and the Nirad world, feasting in harmony for celebrating the peace and their dead, I wanted to feast with all of them as both races, totally different from each other joined together, setting race aside. This shows the symbolism from our world in today’s society with races being against each other because of a dangerous leader who commands them. This I was actually quite pleased with how the author correlated the politics to represent a deeper understanding.
--END SPOILER--

My love for this book will never turn to stone. I am pleased and very honored to fight alongside the Olympians. I am pleased to see the growth with Emily as she harnesses her powers and finally understands who she really is. What does the author have in store for her in the next book?

and my poor Joel. He’s gonna become a sexy fighter as Apollo teaches him to fight one handedly.

As Jupiter so humbly says,

“None of us would be here today,” Jupiter continued. “Were it not for the bravery and strength of Emily Jacobs and Pegasus. My family-Olympians and Nirads, I give you the Flame of Olympus.”

Assessment Appertaining To Books Pegasus and the Fight for Olympus (Pegasus #2)

I was interested in reading about what happens. The author continues to add twists in the plot as well as the main character, Emily. The dilemma of wanting to do something, but not really knowing what to do as well as can't for the good of the group is something many kids can relate to. She's certainly imperfect and young readers can relate to.

A wonderfully sweet and easy book to read.

4 Stars!I have to say this one was a little bit better than the first one. I thought it was more interesting and more excitement to the story. It was also more detailed I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

This book is full of twist and turns, and it is almost impossible for anyone to tell what will happen next. The author mostly does this through inner thinking, and dialogue. The author will usually use these craft moves at a certain point in the book, and when they do use them they'll use them for multiple characters. For example say the character is in a dangerous situation, and doesn't know what to do, and thinks that she's scared/something bad will happen. But to a different character she

Emily went through an epic adventure and it seems to be that the time has come to start yet another one. Just recently Emily was reborn into The Flame of Olympus and with it came some powers that she cannot handle. Everything was peaceful until the Nirads invaded Olympus yet once again. Matters in the past that were settled have been brought up again and new enemies are being discovered. At the same time Emily yearns daily for her father who is still a prisoner at the CRUs facility someplace in

Beautiful! Just like the first,beautiful.
