This book is like a wonderful dream! Sweet and sad, this is the story of a beautiful fairy and a young prince who fall in love. But just when they share a kiss that will turn the fairy into a mortal so that they can live out their days together, they are viciously torn apart by a mad king and a scheming genie, the prince banished to a realm with no magic and in the midst of a brutal world war. Through grief and hope, will they ever find their way back to each other? A poetic and romantic read!

This novel was so eloquently written. I will never forget the delicate heartaches and the powerful strength of Joshua's love for Olia. It was like a candle refusing to be put out. There were a couple of times when I felt like the story was running away from me, the perspectives switching quickly that I'd sometimes get confused as to who was speaking or which character the speaker was referring to. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this novel and I hope to encounter more of Fombelle's work because his
