Waves by Sharon Dogar was a book that many expected it to be about surfing. When I saw the book "Waves" just sitting their on the cart in my english class. I thought it was a good book I thought it talked about water and how they would surf. When I read the book I saw how it talked about a family and one of the children was in coma and the family had to leave and they left the child their and how the other sibling was feeling that emptiness. Her brother Hal believes that he hears her voice in his head as though she is trying to talk to him from within her coma. Told in alternating points of view from Charley and Hal, we slowly begin to understand the events that lead up to the accident that put Charley in the coma and the mystery of what she was doing out in the middle of the night. While I did really enjoy this book, I had trouble with the
