In the fourth installment of the Star-Crossed Series, we find Eden Matthews a prisoner in the very household she set out to destroy. She is without magic and engaged to the same boy who betrayed her and everyone she loves.
With her wedding looming on the horizon, conditions for her people continue to worsen and her goal of offering her kingdom freedom seems further away than ever.
Her brother is free however, and building a Rebellion that hopes to rescue her. Eden's parents are working with the Resistance and inside the Citadel Eden finds more allies than she thought possible.
However, there is more at stake for Eden than just an unwanted marriage. Her heart is on the line too, as she fights the pressures of palace life, the prejudice ingrained in her people and a seemingly unbeatable king.
The Star-Crossed Series continues in book 5 with The Reluctant King.

I'll start off with what I didn't like about Endless Magic. As much as I love this series, I have to admit that it has its own down side. So I'm gonna start with the things I didn't like about this book so that if you come to the good things about this book part, you'll forget all about the bad ones altogether.First and foremost, I cannot understand why Eden can't seem to figure out obvious things. I mean, from the first moment that Avalon and Kiran seems to be having hushed conversation all onI really wanted to give this book five stars, but there were some things missing that I really wanted to see happen that never did. Early in the books there is this big build up of what happens to 2 Immortals who make love and their magic gets shared and you are always waiting for that to happen with Kiran and Eden and yet it never gets fulfilled. In fact, I would liked to have seen that happen and that be what brings down Lucan, but hey it is not my story to tell. I would have liked to have
All I can say is this series was Incredible. Talk about knowing the characters, everything seemed so real. Like you were virtually there in the vivid places Higginson created. You felt what they felt. Anger, sorrow, and happiness. This woman can write. I look forward to reading more of what she develops. I highly, highly, highly recommend this series. I don't know what to do with myself now. I have this empty feeling, now that the series is over. How will I cope?????

BEST BOOK EVER!!!! Oh man! Well done Rachel! Can I just tell you how much I LOVE YOU RIGHT now!! This was perfect! The perfect ending to a series. And let me tell you I think it is much harder to end a series good then it would be start one! For example Hunger games (my favorite) but Mocking jay(last book in the series) -ruined! And the newest the Wolfsbane book (Bloodrose) that was worst then Mocking jay! Anyway my point is you can start a awesome series but if you aren't careful, creative,
Eden is still being held "captive" in Lucan's castle, where she has to pretend to be in love with Prince Kiran while Avalon and the Resistance figure out a plan to rescue her and kill the king. Well, Eden and Kiran pretend to be in love while pretending NOT to be in love. It is pretty clear that they both still harbor feelings for each other, but Eden is stubborn and won't forgive him for the past. She is also conflicted about her feelings for Jericho. Meanwhile, King Lucan starts accumulating
Rachel Higginson has played a risky game here. Writing such frustrating characters & stories could make readers put this series down at book 1 or 2 but Rachel Higginson was playing the long game. All the frustration paid off, every thread of this series came together & it all delivered, big time.So first off Ill admit I may have changed my mind about Kiran. I hate to say this after my non-stop Kiran hating rants over the least three books, but he did start to break through my hard
3.5 stars 🌟 I feel like this book could have been a lot shorter, and still could have been a great ending to this part of the series. Undecided if I will continue with Avalon's part (book 5) , but I more than likely will eventually, since he was one of my favorite characters from book one and I didnt feel like we really got to see him fully develop as a MC as much I would have liked to!
