Clever and utterly hilarious. I loved it.

3.75 stars. The Title is MISLEADING. quarter star deduction for that.It is still Calvin and Hobbes, one of the best comic strips of all time, so it was nice too read them, but I thought based on the title, that the majority of the strips would be one in which the regular babysitter, Rosalyn, or other sitters, would be featured. Instead there is only two pages consisting of six daily strips, standard Mon.-Sat. style. That is, to me, a false misleading title & book cover picture.

I was crushed when Watterson decided to discontinue the Calvin and Hobbes series of comic strips for adults, so I bought all the trade paperbacks. I ran into one the other day while dusting some book shelves (not my favorite activity). I had read it before but these characters never get old and are iconic as far as I am concerned. So over lunch, I read it again and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. If you have never dipped your toe into the world of Calvin and Hobbes, you are missing

As the name suggests he makes live tough for his babysitter, and especially his mom and dad. Calvin is often breaking something or making a mess, but he always has an excuse.
