Description In Pursuance Of Books Den of Wolves (Blackthorn & Grim #3)
The “powerful and emotionally-charged” fantasy series from the author of the Sevenwaters novels continues, as Blackthorn and Grim face haunting secrets and old adversaries...Feather bright and feather fine, None shall harm this child of mine...
Healer Blackthorn knows all too well the rules of her bond to the fey: seek no vengeance, help any who ask, do only good. But after the recent ordeal she and her companion, Grim, have suffered, she knows she cannot let go of her quest to bring justice to the man who ruined her life.
Despite her personal struggles, Blackthorn agrees to help the princess of Dalriada in taking care of a troubled young girl who has recently been brought to court, while Grim is sent to the girl’s home at Wolf Glen to aid her wealthy father with a strange task—repairing a broken-down house deep in the woods. It doesn’t take Grim long to realize that everything in Wolf Glen is not as it seems—the place is full of perilous secrets and deadly lies...
Back at Winterfalls, the evil touch of Blackthorn’s sworn enemy reopens old wounds and fuels her long-simmering passion for justice. With danger on two fronts, Blackthorn and Grim are faced with a heartbreaking choice—to stand once again by each other’s side or to fight their battles alone...

".. even the bitterest, angriest, most wounded woman in all Erin could learn to love again."Oh god, this series. This author. This story. Coming back to this world, to these words, was like coming home. Marillier is unparalleled in her ability to weave Irish folktales and magic and fantasy like the very druids she sprinkles her stories with. And the tale of DEN OF WOLVES might have been the best in this series. However, it was, at it's heart, a story that was heartbreaking and tragic. It alsoLovely and addicting as the first two! Pretty sure there will be more too, which I hadn't been expecting but really really want.
An absolutely perfect ending (or maybe not the end?) to a truly masterful trilogy. Honestly, reading Marillier's books makes you realise how good fantasy can be. This book is definitely going on my favourites shelf for 2016.I would rate the series as a whole as a strong 5 stars, with each book showing progressively more depth and development for both story and characters, and consistently top notch writing throughout. Blackthorn and Grim is one of my favourite series to date and highly

This was a perfect ending to the Blackthorn and Grim tales and no less than I expected. There is a little bit of danger, a mystery to be solved and the slow retelling of some old story lost to the world once again. Blackthorn and Grim have come along way from their time together as prisoners. I really loved the slow build of their tale.Grim I just love his character so much. He has the biggest kindest heart and he is the humblest of men. After the True Loves Tears of the prior book I was beyond
3.5 StarsAnd with this book I am done with Juliet Marillier. Overall i liked this series much more than Sevenwaters, but it still has some of the same downfalls the Sevenwaters series had:*predictable plots (where the reader can predict "the big secret" hundreds of pages before the characters figure it out)*lots of unnecessary words and filler. Different characters saying the same thing over and over.*over convenient stories/plot points that aren't believable but are necessary to push the plot
This book gave me everything I wanted to wrap up the trilogy of Blackthorn and Grim. Sadly, when I started, I didnt realize this was the last story in the series, but by about halfway through, I had no doubts. These characters have come so far, their relationship forged in fire. Finally, here, we see the fruit of all their labors, the light at the end of the tunnel. Theres just one more set of trials they must endure before they get there.A teenage girl, Cara, has been sent away by her father to
