Judgment Out Of Books The New American Bible

Celebrating my first cover-to-cover reading of the Bible, with notes. Quite an experience. Took me a little over a year of daily readings (approximately 30 minutes). This "Good Book" also makes a "good read."

Jumps around quite a lot, but the stories are classic, and the overarching narrative is as epic as history itself. Featuring my absolute favorite protagonist and (least) favorite antagonist, this is a work of literature I can easily recommend to anyone. A MUST READ!



My husband & I really enjoyed this couples devotional bible. We borrowed it from the lending library at church. It includes a collection of 20+ articles that offer real life advice and understanding for Catholic couples. At the end of each article, there were discussions questions for us to reflect on and share our thoughts with each other. It added a lot of valuable insight to the Sacrament of Matrimony.

Always a good read. Wars, famines, conquerors, conquered, exiled, returned, disgraced, uplifted, persecuted, persecutors, and most importantly, saved in spite of themselves, we find humanity in all its phases. I have read the entire bible. I dont know how long it took. Youll notice no rating, because I have expressed my opinions on several major books of the Bible individually. If you are curious, dig through what I have read and determine my separate opinions yourself. The Bible is vast, many authors contributed to it. My favorite book is probably Job.I will be moving on to shorter books for a long while. The Bible is the longest single book Ive ever read. I might read The Mahabharata one day,

I am following my brother's Daily Bible's plan to read the entire Bible within a year. Although I've grown up with it my entire life, I have never read it cover to cover, and it's time.It took me six months (because I'm a chronic reader-ahead-er) and I've now finished the Bible. I'm not rating it because it's a) THE BIBLE and b) a holy book to many and so not my place to "rate." It was definitely enlightening to read and finally see everything that's in there.
